Bahia stands out for its warm welcome, excellent food and fine music. Since the first opening day the Bahia Beach Bar has had live music on Sundays. Great musicians have treated the visitors of Bahia to a fabulous evening of music, which usually ends up in people dancing on the tables till midnight. But not only on Sunday's you'll find good music; the sound system brings the best music you can find to relax upon the whole day through.

Bahia's kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is popular by every food lover. Other than the usual Portuguese beach restaurants, Bahia serves up a superb meal for everyone's taste. The kitchen serves specialties from all over the world varying from local Portuguese dishes, Spanish tapas, Moroccan tajhins, African stews, the usual BLT's and Club sandwiches and the famous Bahia Beach Burger. But don't be surprised if a Dutch bitterbal comes your way. Bahia is popular for its nonalcoholic fresh fruit juices that add to the healthy feeling of being on the beach and the more spicy caipirinhas and mojitos that add to the happy feeling of having fun.

But Bahia is more than just a place to eat and drink and enjoy the Portuguese sun. It is a place where you can play volleyball, fly kites, build sandcastles, meet with friends, get the latest news, celebrate your wedding or your birthday and enjoy long walks on the beach. Sometimes a professional masseuse passes through so you can enjoy a massage and get the ultimate relaxation. One season we had a hairdresser who could give you a haircut while you where sunbathing. Kids have a great time at Bahia as well.

There is a basket full of toys available at all times. Not only is Bahia a place to relax and find your dream holiday, it is a place to party as well. In the summer free beach parties occur every two weeks where the best DJ's from Portugal perform their acts live on stage. Bahia is famous for its annual party on the 29th of August when the Algarve celebrates the end of summer. Originally it is a celebration of the rural community in the Algarve that celebrates the end of the harvest season with big bonfires and fireworks on the beach and a midnight bath in the cold Atlantic. This beach party at Bahia has become famous all throughout Portugal and brings DJ's, VJ's and thousands of party people together to enjoy life.
