One of the last Holiday-paradises in Europe:
Portugal is a wonderful country in the south of Europe, one of the last
Holiday-paradises without too much Tourism.
Lisbon:
The capital Lisbon, with its special Flair, is not only a modern large city
but
offers also to the visitor famous buildings and monuments, tradition and culture,
and is internationally well-known.
The Costa Prata:
The Costa Prata, also mentioned Silver Coast , with its delightful landscape,
is situated between Porto and Lisbon and combines everything that one can
dream of a holiday country.
Here you find nearly deserted sand beaches and crystal-clear, clean water,
green, flowering dunes and hills, with wonderful trees up to the beaches and
naturally innumerable palms and cactusses, in order to call only some points
of this delightful coast.
Climate:
Here a healthy, mild climate with much sun prevails, also during the winter
months.
The high summer at the Costa Prata brings temperatures of maximally 30 degrees,
and in the winter the Temparatur falls rarely under 15° at the day and
10° at night.
Sport:
Of course the Costa Prata offers also a large coice of sport activities. Waterskiing
in each form, diving, Surf, Wind Surf, Fishing, Riding, Tennis, Kite flying,
etc. and as
special attraction of Golf-courts directly at the sea.
Ski:
In addition, the Serra-da-Estrela offers you winter sports possibilities for
skiing
You reach this area, which provides a unusually mild climate, in 2 to 3 hours
by car,

Geography:
Portugal occupies the western part of the Iberian Peninsula and is slightly
smaller than Indiana.
The country is crossed by three large rivers that rise in Spain, flow into
the Atlantic,
and divide the country into three geographic areas. The Minho River, part
of the northern boundary,
cuts through a mountainous area that extends south to the vicinity of the
Douro River.
South of the Douro, the mountains slope to the plains around the Tejo River.
The remaining division is the southern one of Alentejo. The Azores stretch
over 340 mi (547 km)
in the Atlantic and consist of nine islands with a total area of 902 sq mi
(2,335 sq km).
Madeira, consisting of two inhabited islands, Madeira and Porto Santo,
and two groups of uninhabited islands, lie in the Atlantic about 535 mi (861
km) southwest of Lisbon.

Lissabon:
De hoofdstad Lissabon, met z'n speciale sfeer, is niet alleen een moderne
grote stad maar biedt de bezoeker
ook beroemde gebouwen en monumenten, tradities en cultuur, en is internationaal
erg bekend.
De Costa Prata:
De Costa Prata, ook bekend als de silver coast , met z'n prachtige landschap,
is gesitueerd tussen Porto en
Lissabon en cobineert alles waarvan je droomt waar een vakantie aan moet voldoen.
Hier vind je bijna verlaten stranden en kristal helder water, schoon water,
veel groen, bloemen zeeen en
bergen en berglandschap met prachtige bomen, en naar het strand toe veel palmen

de temperatuur zelden onder de 15 graden en 10 graden s'nachts.
Sport:
Natuurlijk biedt de Costa Prata veel mogelijkheden voor sport activiteiten.
Waterskien in elke vorm, duiken,
surfen, wind surfen, vissen, paardrijden, tennis etc. en als speciale attracite
de Golf banen direct aan zee.
Ski:
Als aanvulling, biedt de Serra-da-Estrela s'winters ski mogelijkheden. U kunt
dit gebied, met een ongewoon
mild klimaat, bereiken in 2 to 3 uren rijden afhankelijk van uw vertrek punt.
Cultuur:
Hier heeft u een rijke variatie aan historische gebouwen, landgoederen, kathedralen,
kastelen, vestingen etc.
Tradities:
De Portugesen zijn traditie bewust en onderhouden hun traditionle klederdracht,
ook bij het uitoefenen van
hun beroep. In vele plaatsen ontmoet u vissers mannen en markt vrouwen in
folkloristische dracht, die hun
werk doen net zoals ze dat 100 jaren geleden ook deden. De Portugezen zijn
vriendelijke en vrolijke mensen,
die graag en vaak iets vieren, carnaval in deze regio is een van de meest
spectaculaire evenementen.
Winkelen:
U kunt hier goed winkelen, u vindt hier winkels met artikelen die niet ouderwets
zijn, moderne zaken,
die u elegante en moderne produkten bieden die u vindt in grote steden maar
tegen een substancieel lagere prijs.
Prijzen:
De kosten voor levensonderhoud in deze kust regio is laag, dit heeft ook betrekking
op eten, energie etc.
Ook huizen, villas, landgoederen en boerderijen bij vlak bij de zee zijn goed

andere vakantiegebieden een goede investering.
Wetenswaardigheden:
De criminaliteit is wezenlijk lager dan in andere zuid europese landen. Portugal

en een zeer goede snelweg tussen Porto, Nazaré, Leiria en Lissabon,
ook zijn de medische fasciliteiten goed
georganiseerd.
Daardoor bestaat het aanbod van de Costa Prata of silver coast uit ideale
condities voor een onvergetelijke
vakantie in een van de comfortabele vakantiewoningen of appartementen, en
is daarmee uitermate geschikt
voor langdurig verblijf, en als tweede huis.
